A prototype of the figure was first shown at Wonder Festival 2020 Winter. Following the announcement that figure manufacturer Kotobukiya would be releasing a figure of Kasumi Yoshizawa in her Phantom Thief guise from Persona 5 Royal at Mega Hobby Expo 2019 Autumn, a release date of November 2020 has been announced.
